We have been thinking about lots of different types of animals. The children can name lots of farm animals and say what their young are called. Lots of the children also know where we get wool, milk and eggs from. Old MacDonald has proved a very popular song.
We have thought about the different animals that people have as pets and made a chart to show what the children either have or would like to have. Dogs and fish were the most popular. One morning we even had a lovely visitor to our garden, Indi the Rhodesian Ridgeback. She had lots of strokes and shook paws with the children if they wanted to.
We have started talking about what we might see living under the sea, and we have made some very colourful fish. The children had great fun making some lovely bubble painting pictures of under the sea.
