Our Staff
Staff at Parkside Pre-school hold Paediatric First Aid certificates, current DBS certificates and have attended Safe Guarding children training and Prevent Duty training.

Alison Bennett
I have a level 3 qualification for Early Years Child Care and Education and I have also gained, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status in 2009. I have worked in an Early Years setting and in key stage one for many years. I have full paediatric first aid training and trained in Prevent Duty. At Parkside Pre-School I am responsible for the day to day running of the Pre-School. I am the designated safeguarding lead, 2 year old check lead (joint with Mrs Nolan). Transition Lead (joint with Mrs Nolan). I also have a key person's role.
Away from Pre-School I enjoy my family life with my two grown up children and walking my dog.

Elaine Perkins
I am level 3 qualified in childcare, holding the NNEB certificate. I have worked with young children for 40 years in various roles including a Nursery school, Reception class, special needs assistant, Family Centre, Nannying and within Social Services.
I am paediatric first aid trained and trained in Safeguarding Children and Prevent Duty. I am responsible for providing lots of creative learning inside and outside of the Pre-School.
Away from the Pre-School I enjoy family time and doing lots of sewing.

Jo Roberts
I have a B.ED Hons Degree in Primary Education and have worked as an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teacher in schools in Reading and West Berkshire for many years.
At Parkside Pre-School I am the Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENco). I am first aid trained, trained in Safeguarding Children and Prevent Duty.
During my time away from Pre-School I enjoy family time with my husband and children.

Lorraine Bushnell
I have an NVQ level 3 qualification and have always enjoyed working with children of various different age groups. I was responsible for the running of a successful out of school setting for over 20 years.
I have undertaken Paediatric First Aid training, as well as training in Safeguarding Children and The Prevent Duty.
I enjoy being creative and love seeing the children in my care grow and progress, each developing their own unique personalities.
Away from the Pre-School I am trying to improve my fitness by running and I love spending time with my husband, grown up sons and the rest of my family.

Yvonne Coward
I am a Nursery Nurse with an NNEB certificate. I have many years of experience working in childcare including Nursery, Reception, Day Nursery, Childminding and as a Foster Carer.
Away from Pre-School I enjoy spending time with my grown up children and young grandchildren.
